About Shilpa & Showstopper Jewels
Born & raised in Chennai, India, jewelry has been a huge part of Shilpa's culture. Every festival & birthday, her parents would buy some jewelry for the family. Jewelry always fascinated her, and this love and passion made her realize at the age of 13, what she wanted to be and do.
Shilpa has graduated from the prestigious and most trusted gemological institute - GIA. She has been in the industry for over a decade and has hundreds of hours of experience grading diamonds and gemstones.
With her first few signature collections being sold out (exclusively designed and produced by her), her early success encouraged her to setup Showstopper Jewels as a platform to sell fine jewelry directly to the public, online, and through other channels.
Her two drivers are to create "one-of-a-kind pieces" and make it "affordable at wholesale prices to the public".
In her free time, Shilpa loves to spend time with her family, go globe trotting, practise yoga and meditate.
She takes the saying "One life, lets make it golden", very seriously.
